We cannot fault the service from the entire team at Trendsetter. They had obviously worked with many people, with many different ideas and priorities which was evident in how they approached our design and needs.

The design process is seamless and started with us putting together ideas. We wanted a custom build that would work for our family now and in the future and after discussion it was presented to us with everything we had asked for. They are clearly very experienced in designing for custom as well as having predesigned plans for different block sizes if you choose.

Our plans where brought into our budget and there where no hidden costs or future additions to worry about. We loved that everything was transparent and listed out to see or modify

Interior Design was done with incredible experience and had things we never even thought of.

The whole process gave us confidence in our build and we have no hesitation in recommending them.

The main thing for us is that the team are just beautiful people. There are no pushy sales or hurrying the process. We had a medical emergency through our design, which delayed us a few months and the care and messages from the team we had only come to know for a few months at that stage is not something we see these days.

On recommendation by friends, we used Trendsetters to construct our two story rear addition (onto a Federation era cottage) with handover in August 2021, and we would happily recommend them to others.

The whole process was detail oriented, professional and tailored to our demands, and we felt we were dealt with in a transparent manner both during pre-start and throughout the build.

There was the odd occasion we felt things may have been heading off track, however a quick call or meeting with Michael Agostino (MD) soon got everyone back on the same page.

Most importantly we were rapt with the end product, and we are proud of the amount of compliments we have received since getting the keys.

From the first moment the process started right through to project completion, we have been impressed with Trendsetter Homes professionalism and quality of work. We were engaged throughout the building process by regular communication. We can’t praise Michael Agostino and his great team enough for making the journey as drama-free as possible. Louie, the sharp-eyed supervisor was very helpful and would go the extra mile in making sure the build went smoothly and correctly. We could track the progress of the build by using the client portal as pictures of the stages were uploaded onto the portal together with all necessary construction documents. The final product looks amazing. We are very pleased with the new house.

Whilst building the home we had some minor issues, but most problems were fixed in a prompt and professional manner; we had some communication issues with the supervisor during construction but over all pretty good.

The flexibility with trendsetter having multiple Selection opportunities during the construction phase was great.

My experience with Trendsetter Homes taught me that to build a home successfully from start to finish, a trusted relationship with the builder is of paramount importance. We found that out early when my wife and I were discussing project processes and contract details with Michael Agostino, the Managing Director of Trendsetter Homes. He mentioned a couple of points that resonated with us; something like, “I have never use the contract, as I always work it out with my clients, if there are problems to resolve” and “I cannot promise you that there will be no problems throughout the project, but what I can promise is that I will be there to solve them if they arise”. It is from these statements that Michael emanated confidence and yet at the same time seek trust from us, in order for him to do his job well. And that, is the beginning of the 18-month long relationship built on trust.

Michael Agostino is a “hands-on” leader who listens and is “client focused”; committed to understand and meet the needs of his clients. Upon our request to use a particular supplier for double glazing our windows, he was accommodative and at the same time professional, in setting aside time to validate the quality of the product before agreeing. He even showed us the “Project Management” software he was working on, to improve and streamline project processes and clients’ report experiences. His core value of continuous improvement and work ethics further built on this “trust” that was earlier established.

Michael has a synergistic team that supports him well. The Interior Architect, Michael Borello, worked with us on Pre-Start and finalising the Addenda in preparation for Building Contract signing. His interior design talent was evident in products and colour selection that put all the pieces together to form an amazing outcome. The experience was smooth and accommodating.

Anthony, the Senior Building Designer was efficient as he addressed problem quickly as it arises. Together with Michael Agostino, (who attended to an urgent problem relating to the building plans, while he was on holiday), they resolved the issue promptly leading to the issuance of the building permit.

During the construction phase, we find the Site Supervisor, Clint to be honest, in acknowledging and highlighting mistakes, made by tradespeople and took responsibility to rectify those situations. We took comfort that Michael Agostino was always a phone call away, to help us in overcoming any hurdles we may face, along the way.

On the whole, we are happy with the quality build, the final outcome and the relationship built over the past months and would recommend anyone who is thinking of a new custom home, to build with Trendsetter

I’ve bought two Trendsetter homes…..extremely functional and well thought out in design. Both homes sold on first “home open”.

I built with Trendsetter 15 years ago and they were amazing. Would build with them again in a heartbeat.

It was the dream house; the forever home and I was looking for a builder who would be as passionate and invested as I was in realising that vision. It was important that the builder’s trades demonstrated pride in their workmanship through the care and commitment to quality of the overall finish of the home.

Pre-start went very smoothly. There was a lot of detail required in ‘putting the house together’ and Trendsetter’s Interior Design Consultant was technically skilled, highly experienced and brought a lot of value to the process. I appreciated the friendly advice, guidance, and direction given.

Armed with such detailed plans and specifications I assumed that actually building the house would be a simple matter of following those ‘instructions’. It didn’t take long to realise that even with great planning there is still a high degree of judgement and practical know-how required in construction. The most valuable part of the Trendsetter process was the regular site visits with the Building Supervisor. It allowed me the opportunity to be involved as the house progressed, query decisions and ask lots of questions. It also enabled me to communicate with the Building Supervisor on a regular basis and to have input along the way where there were alternative options for doings things. I developed a sense of trust in the builder and the process. Issues or concerns were dealt with willingly and resolved in an effort to ensure work was carried out to the highest standard. On site trades were courteous and considerate of the neighbours in keeping noise to a minimum and access around the site clear.

Trendsetter provided a personalised building experience that gave me the chance to be involved in the building of my home. I’ve realised that I couldn’t have done it any other way. The Interior Design Consultant and Building Supervisor were brilliant to work with and I know there were many other talented people in the Trendsetter team who supported them behind the scenes. I’m thrilled with my beautiful new home and look forward to enjoying the space and living the dream.

When you’re aged in your late 60’s, building another home is obviously about downsizing. With kids long gone it’s time to think of what you really want; about clever design, with space, and light, but low maintenance; acknowledging your current lifestyle, yet demanding a quality construct.
